The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor positions, beginning August 16, 2020. The area of specialization is open, but special attention will be given to applicants whose research interests overlap with current faculty. The teaching assignment is 4 courses per year, 2 courses in the fall semester and 2 courses in the spring semester, and may include lower division course assignments (calculus, etc.). Participation in the department’s research activities is expected.

 

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences or the equivalent is required. Candidates with strong promise in research and teaching are encouraged to apply.

The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on January 7, 2020 and continue accepting applications until the position is filled. The selected candidate will be required to provide an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible.
