A non-tenure-track teaching faculty position which will have primary responsibility for geotechnical
course delivery within the department's new Master of Engineering degree program. Class content will
be aligned to both of this program's optional academic tracks, including structural and environmental
engineering. Additional course responsibilities may cover soil-structure dynamics, seismic response and
resilient design, plus professional career development, as well as introductory geotechnical engineering
for the department's civil plus environmental engineering undergraduates.

Qualifications

A doctoral degree in geotechnical engineering or a closely related discipline is desirable, as well as a
strong commitment to outstanding student teaching and advising. Alternative degree backgrounds may
be considered contingent upon outstanding professional career experience. We are looking for faculty
