Senior Lectureship in Architecture

Applications are invited from those interested in joining at a senior level, the staff at the Cork Centre for Architectural Education, which is a joint centre managed by UCC and Munster Technological University.

UCC will make this appointment at Senior Lecturer level.

The appointee will serve as Director of Learning and Teaching in Cork Centre for Architectural Education. The appointee will be required to provide guidance and leadership in L&T in architectural education, develop new programme offerings and ensure the management, review, development of existing programmes.

The appointee will have interest in shaping, and contributing to, the preparations for a career in architecture and other professions that can benefit from the core skills of visualisation and design thinking. Candidates will have significant and relevant teaching, research and architectural practice experience. The successful applicant will be expected to pro-actively contribute to our accredited BSc(Hons)Arch and/or M.Arch programmes, and to the development of a new multi-disciplinary programme, such as a Masters in Immersive Environments.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree and the academic degree(s) required for registration as an Architect. The candidate is expected to have experience in working as a registered architect and substantial experience in teaching in Third Level education.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €71,786 – €101,714 (Scale B). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy
