The A-PECS research group focuses on advanced electrochemical sensing technologies. This position will involve developing novel microneedle-based electrochemical biosensing strategies, with applications in:
Plant monitoring (in planta measurements, sap analysis)
Health monitoring (interstitial fluid analysis)
The postdoctoral researcher will:
Develop high-quality electrochemical analysis strategies using microneedles
Initiate and lead new research projects aligned with A-PECS strategic goals
Produce academic publications and reports
Contribute to grant writing and securing national/international funding
Supervise PhD students and team members
Participate in teaching and academic service as required
Explore the market potential of research outputs
Essential:
PhD in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering, bioscience engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong academic record with publications in high-impact journals
Excellent English communication skills
Highly motivated, independent, and collaborative
Desirable:
Expertise in bio- or photoelectrochemical sensor development
Full-time postdoctoral position with renewable 12-month contract
