The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to work with an ARC Future Fellow and international collaborators on 3D Hydrodynamics simulations of convective-reactive events in stars. You will join the world-class Stellar group in the Monash Centre for Astrophysics and will publish papers in high-impact journals, present results at major conferences and meetings, and assist with supervision of PhD students.

Our ideal candidate will have a PhD in theoretical astrophysics and experience in using, and developing, scientific codes. You will have demonstrated proposal preparation skills, experience in supervising and working with honours or postgraduate students within the discipline, and excellent organisational skills.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
