Position: Faculty – Power Electronics, Machines, and Control

Contract: Full-time, initially 3-year fixed term

Salary: 635,038 RMB – 780,622 RMB per year (performance-based progression)
Location: Ningbo, China
UNNC seeks a highly motivated academic to lead research and contribute to teaching in Power Electronics, Machines, and Control. The role combines:
High-impact research: Conduct and lead interdisciplinary research at the forefront of the field.
Research leadership: Shape intellectual agenda, secure external funding, and mentor early-career researchers.
Teaching: Contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, aligned with UK-style curriculum.
The candidate will also contribute to UNNC’s international reputation and engage with industry and policy initiatives.
PhD in Power Electronics, Machines, Drives, or a closely related field
Proven record of high-impact interdisciplinary research
Experience securing major research grants
Strong leadership skills within academic/research units
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
Commitment to mentoring and fostering an inclusive research environment
Lead long-term research strategies aligned with university objectives
Secure substantial external funding for large-scale projects
Mentor students and early-career researchers
Drive initiatives that influence industry, public policy, or the academic field
