Applications are invited for a Research Associate/Fellow in Digital Ideation Cards. Candidates will be based in the Mixed Reality Lab, School of Computer Science, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham.
Our team is developing a digital ideation cards platform to support multiple ongoing research projects, including the AHRC-funded Shaping the Connected Museum project and the Horizon Digital Economy Research Centre. The new platform will enable participants to remotely participate in collaborative design sessions over the Internet in which they will follow a structured process of using digital ideation cards to generate new design ideas.
The position requires that the candidate has completed a PhD, or is about to, or has equivalent professional qualifications and experience. The candidate must have the ability to plan and conduct user studies using digital ideation cards, analyse and illuminate mixed quantitative and qualitative data, communicate the results orally and in writing, engage in interdisciplinary research, build relationships and collaborate with others involved in our research, and make a significant contribution to publishing high quality REF returnable research.
Applicants must be able to provide at least one published peer-reviewed paper that demonstrates they have experience of developing or studying ideation cards.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 6 months, with a possible extension of a further 6 months, Hours or work are a part-time (18.25 hours per week) as part of a job-share arrangement with a current researcher.
