In the research department "Zerspanung", a position as Research Associate (PhD Student, m / w / d) on the topic "Laser processing of carbide tools" (EntgGr. 13 TV-L, 100%) is to be filled at the earliest possible date. The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension to the promotion is provided.

The focus of your research project is the development of a laser process for the introduction of chip breakers in form turning and boring tools. The introduced chip breaker stages improve chip breaking and can thus increase tool life.
