The Institute for Human-Machine Interaction (MMI) is a nationally and internationally very active and successful research institution in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the RWTH Aachen University. The MMI is a specialist in robotics, 3D simulation technology, virtual worlds and simulation-based development in the aerospace and terrestrial industries. "eRobotics" and Digital Gemini are revolutionizing the development process and operation of intelligent systems across industries and disciplines. The applications range from planetary rovers to modular satellite systems to the "International Space Station", from industrial robots to "virtual production" and from wheel loaders to "virtual forest".


Your Profile

You have completed a university degree (Master or equivalent) in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, geoinformatics, computational visualistics, mathematics or physics with above-average success and would like to work on research-oriented challenging topics.

They have a sound theoretical knowledge but are also able to apply this knowledge in the context of technology transfer. Software development also makes you fun in the team. Good command of spoken and written English, the ability to work independently, creativity, flexibility and a team-oriented approach are a matter of course for you. If possible you have practical experience in programming with C ++ and have very good knowledge and experience in at least one of our areas of work. You are ready to work on general institute assignments as well as to supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses.


Your Tasks

To strengthen our team, we are looking for several scientific staff. The challenges of your varied activities range from the editing and coordination of science and technology transfer-oriented projects to the presentation of the results internally and externally.


Our Range

Recruitment is in the employment relationship. 
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and limited to 2 years. An extension of at least another year is planned. 
This is a full time position. 
There is a doctoral option. 
The position is rated with TV-L E13.
