Job summary

A Research Associate position has become available in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London within the Human Robotics group of Dr Etienne Burdet.

Duties and responsibilities

The post holder will contribute to projects in Neuroscience and Robotics, carrying out research at the interface of these fields. Some of the group’s current projects are described at: http://www.bg.ic.ac.uk/research/e.burdet

Essential requirements

The project title for the research to be undertaken is ‘PH-CODING’ and other European projects supported by the Commission of the European Communities.

For this project we are seeking a highly motivated individual, with a PhD (or equivalent) in a topic related to our research and previous research experience in computational modelling for robotic applications, tele-operation, network control theory and robot operation in space environments. Deep knowledge of non-linear control theory and robotics computational modelling, as well as practical experience with study execution in laboratory and the consideration of space in research are desired.
