Our Profile

The Chair Computer Science 11 - Embedded Software conducts research under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Kowalewski on design and analysis methods for software-controlled technical systems, in particular in safety-critical applications in the fields of automotive / mobility, production technology, industrial automation and medical technology. Our methodological priorities are model-based development, verification and testing as well as real-time capable control platforms. In addition to publicly funded basic projects, contract research with industrial companies forms a major part of our work. The approximately 20 scientific employees of the department have degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology and mechanical engineering.

Your Profile

You have completed a university degree (Master or comparable) in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, automation technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject with above-average success. Knowledge in one of the following areas is of advantage: Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Signal Processing, Dynamic Systems or Systems Theory. You should also enjoy working independently in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.

Your Tasks

The research group is researching the interdisciplinary connection between software engineering, system modeling and mathematical optimization. As part of a Germany-wide research project you should research on the subject of agile product development for production technology. 
In addition to research activities, we expect you to participate to a limited extent in the teaching and self-organization of the chair.

Our Range

Recruitment is in the employment relationship. 
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and limited to one year. An extension of at least 2 years is provided. 
This is a full time position. On request, a part-time employment can be made possible. 
There is a doctoral option. 
The position is rated with EG 13 TV-L.
