Job summary

Applications are invited for a Research Associate position. The post will be based within the Communications and Signal Processing group in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. This is a maternity cover Full-time, fixed term position up to 12 months.

Duties and responsibilities

You will have responsibility for developing and publishing novel speech enhancement algorithms which exploit head-tracking data to maximise predicted speech intelligibility. Areas of investigation include the development of sound field models and of algorithms for target transfer function estimation, neural beamforming and sound scene characterisation

Essential requirements

You should have:

• A PhD or near completion of a PhD (or equivalent) in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.

• Experience in the processing of speech or other acoustic signals.

• Signal processing and mathematical knowledge relevant to acoustic and speech signal processing.

• Adept in programming signal processing algorithms in Matlab

• Adept in formulating technical reports using LaTeX and other relevant tools For a full list of essential requirements, please refer to the attached Job Description
