The Electrochemical Science & Engineering research group are looking to hire a researcher to develop reduced order models for lithium-ion batteries from physical models. Models are required to estimate the state of high energy batteries and/or supercapacitors, and control them on- and offline. This allows us to design high performance battery packs. This post is funded by Innovate UK and the Faraday Challenge to develop the next generation of battery packs and Battery Management Systems to improve performance and lifetime.
Our research group is interdisciplinary, and is currently spread across four different departments within Imperial College London. We work at the interface between science and engineering of electrochemical devices. With over 50 postdoctoral & postgraduate researchers, we are a vibrant team with industrial and academic contacts.
This is a fixed term position for up to 12 months in the first instance.
Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum.
