Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidates will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team committed to excellence, working on a project which will involve investigations into the development of nanoengineering membranes as a low-energy separation process to replace energy intensive ones such as distillation and evaporation processes currently employed in the oil, gas and chemicals industry.

Essential requirements

You should hold a Masters level degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering or a related subject and have obtained a PhD (or equivalent, or be near completion) in studies of Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering. You should have experience in porous materials, organic synthesis, or composite membrane fabrication. Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum.
