Active research in the Department includes the development of membranes and filters for a range of applications in fluid separation and chemical reactions. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team committed to excellence, working on an EPSRC funded project.
You will work on a project which will involve investigations into the development of graphene/MOFs based hollow fibre membranes for fluid separation.
You should hold a Masters level degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering or a related subject and have obtained a PhD (or equivalent, or be near completion) in studies of Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering. You should have experience in graphene and (or) MOFs syntheses as well as ceramic hollow fibre membranes and membrane processes, catalysis and catalytic membrane reactors.
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £35,477 – £38,566 per annum.
The post is available immediately and appointment is for 24 months with a possibility for extension. The post is based in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London (South Kensington Campus).
