About the Job
As the Research Assistant, you will contribute to research under the broad direction of the Professor of Medicinal Chemistry whose research focuses on drug discovery in several therapeutic areas, especially cancer. 

You will work on a project that involves in vitro and in vivo evaluation of kinase inhibitors. You will actively participate in the production of data to explore possible new methods and directions along with assembling data for government reports, scientific papers, conference abstracts and grant applications.

Skills and Experience
To be considered for this exciting research opportunity, you will have an Honours degree in Biology or related discipline along with experience in techniques associated with cancer cell biology and in vivo DMPK pharmacology. You will come with knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to the research program, specifically, evaluation of compounds targeting selected protein kinases.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of animal ethics guidelines, biosafety requirements and procedures with experience in the safe handling of potentially biological hazards, including but not limited to (human and animal) blood, plasma and tissues. You will also have experience in recording, analysing, presenting and disseminating research to stakeholders including the preparation of papers for high quality publications.
