Work­ing Field:

Sci­entific ser­vices for research in the inter­dis­cip­lin­ary DFG-fun­ded pro­ject "Neigh­bor­hood in the tour­ism trap? An exam­in­a­tion on the chan­ging res­id­en­tial qual­ity through tour­ist accom­mod­a­tions in selec­ted Ber­lin res­id­en­tial neigh­bour­hoods", which is car­ried out in cooper­a­tion with the Chair of Urban Soci­ology and Soci­ology of Space, TU Darm­stadt, in par­tic­u­lar: The organ­iz­a­tion, imple­ment­a­tion and soft­ware-based eval­u­ation of qual­it­at­ive guided inter­views; con­duct­ing media ana­lysis; the pre­par­a­tion, imple­ment­a­tion and eval­u­ation of focus groups, the organ­iz­a­tion of an open space event, the pre­par­a­tion and par­ti­cip­a­tion in joint work­shops and con­fer­ences as well as the pre­par­a­tion of pro­ject data for archiv­ing; also own con­tri­bu­tions to the pub­lic­a­tion of the research res­ults. The research is also a base for own research and the sci­entific qual­i­fic­a­tion of the applic­ant. Oppor­tun­ity to pre­pare for a doc­toral dis­ser­ta­tion (PhD) is given.

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the social sci­ences, with a focus in urban or spa­tial soci­ology is expec­ted, above-aver­age degree desired; very good applic­a­tion know­ledge of qual­it­at­ive social research, with a focus on qual­it­at­ive inter­views; very good com­mand of Ger­man and Eng­lish; will­ing­ness to travel to Darm­stadt for work­shops with the local pro­ject staff. Desired are exper­i­ence in team work and the will­ing­ness to inter­dis­cip­lin­ary cooper­a­tion in a lar­ger team. In addi­tion, know­ledge in the field of eco­nomic soci­ology, tour­ism soci­ology and/or Turk­ish lan­guage skills are bene­fi­cial.
