Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (Ref.: 498402) (to commence on October 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter for 1 year with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or any related subjects. Strong programming skills and good knowledge of Mathematics and Statistics are required. Experience in using optimization and simulation tools (e.g. IBM ILOG CPLEX, COIN-OR solvers, Google OR-tools, and ARENA) and knowledge of logistics planning and healthcare management are advantageous. The appointee will work in a research group of Dr. Y.H. Kuo on significant research projects that apply operations research and data science techniques to optimize decisions in logistics and healthcare systems.
