Professorship for Scientific Computing

We are looking for an internationally designated representative (m / w / d) in a current field of research in model-based optimization with a strong focus on applications. The field of work should supplement the existing expertise in a complementary and cooperative manner. The professorship is to be filled with a distinguished scientist as a professorship in professorships, and can also be awarded as an introductory professorship if there is special qualification.

Applicants should be excellently qualified in research and teaching. Active participation in the Heidelberg Graduate School of Mathematical and Computing Methods for the Sciences (HGS MathComp) is expected. One of the tasks in teaching is the basic education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Prerequisite for the application is a university degree, and gem. § 47 Abs. 2 Landeshochschulgesetz the Habilitation, the successfully evaluated Juniorprofessur or a comparable qualification.
