The Wold Professor will focus on Environmental Balance for Human Sustainability, connecting energy, mineral, and environmental sectors with academic instruction.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching classes and contributing to capstone courses with industry connections.
Helping students develop practical skills related to environmental, mineral, and energy resource management.
Initiating and supporting an industry consortium: recruiting members, matching projects to research groups, advising students, contributing to symposia and activity reports.
The position is designed for practitioners with significant industry experience, allowing flexibility for external commitments while engaging in innovative education.
Required:
MS or PhD in geosciences or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in private or public sector.
Preferred:
Prior teaching experience.
Experience connecting academia with industry partners.
