Professor of Data Science with a focus on Deep Learning

Your tasks:
In this position you are in charge of the profiling of the Institute for Data Science in the field of Deep Learning. Your successful work in application-oriented research and your involvement in the education of students in the field of data science contribute to this. Specifically, your tasks include:
  • Acquisition and management of application-oriented research projects
  • Assuming personal responsibility for employees of the Mittelbau
  • Supervision of student projects (Bachelor and Master)
  • Teaching in subject-specific specialization and possibly in basic modules
  • Establishment and support of continuing education courses in your area of expertise

Your profile:
Required is a university degree in computer science or data science, preferably with a doctorate. Next you have:
  • Proven expertise in the technology and application of deep learning
  • Willingness and ability to actively acquire projects with partner companies from the economy, combined with a suitable personal network
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and interest in new forms of teaching and learning
  • Teamwork, creativity and innovation
