We are seeking an outstanding academic leader to join the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering as Professor in Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will bring a proven record of achievement in research, teaching, and academic leadership, contributing to the direction, objectives, and outcomes of the University by influencing and shaping resources to meet current and future needs.
Provide academic leadership in teaching and curriculum development across undergraduate to postgraduate levels, ensuring educational excellence and innovation in learning methodologies.
Conduct and sustain high-impact, internationally recognized research in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, including securing research funding and publishing original work.
Supervise and mentor postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) students, while supporting professional development of junior academic staff.
Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of the department’s research and academic strategy, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and external partnerships.
Represent the University through participation in national and international committees, external advisory roles, and public engagement activities.
PhD in a related field
International profile of research excellence, with a sustained record of high-quality publications in leading peer-reviewed journals
Strong evidence of success in securing major national and international competitive research grants and leading large-scale, externally funded research projects
Proven record of excellence in teaching and learning, including curriculum design, innovation, and quality assurance
Demonstrated academic leadership, including mentoring PhD students, junior colleagues, and contributing to departmental and faculty strategy
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong internal and external collaborations
Five-year contract
Salary negotiable within the professorial range, depending on skills and experience
