What are you going to do?

You provide networking in the first year and software engineering in the second year of the regular Applied Informatics and computer systems training in the first year of the blended course.

The total range of duties of a teacher is very diverse .

You give and develop challenging, inspiring and future-oriented education. You assess students and guide and coach them in their learning process and possibly also during internships and bachelor's theses. You integrate modern educational techniques and resources into your approach and look for solutions to deal with diversity within student groups in a result-oriented way. You think along about new (subject) content, working methods, learning lines, ... You like to support your training and your course by participating in course councils, departmental consultations, open days, co-registering, etc. with colleagues and companies as food for your teaching assignment. You not only stimulate the student to develop, but you also work on your own professionalization, both substantively and pedagogically-didactically.

You are part of the enthusiastic and motivated training team 'Applied Informatics' that focuses on training students to become professionals in the IT sector. You work on our campus Groenplaats, Stadswaag or Pothoek and you report to the head of Applied Informatics. You work both during the day and in the evening.

Your profile?

  • Your experience in network management and network policy in combination with your passion for educational innovation and innovative work forms, that is why we want to work with you so much.
  • Because of your broad background and interest, you can be widely deployed in various fields.
  • Your professional knowledge, your gift to transfer this knowledge to a diverse student audience and a practical approach make students enthusiastic and give them guidance.
  • You guide students with patience and passion in their learning and growth process and you stimulate them to make a maximum effort.
  • You have a great interest in education and are willing to 'lifelong' refine your professional knowledge and work on your didactic skills and insights.
  • You can generate teaching material for use in a 'blended learning' context.
  • New visions on learning such as high impact learning inspire you.
  • You have a good knowledge of English, both written and oral.
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of Computer Science or a bachelor's or master's degree in another domain combined with extensive experience in the IT sector. A pedagogical diploma is a plus.

  • An interesting part-time assignment (50%) - as a statutory employee - that starts on 1 September 2019 and runs e.m.August 31, 2020 , renewable after positive evaluation.
