Description

The Yosef Lab at University of California, Berkeley is seeking to hire three Postodctoral Scholar - Employees to support the research and educational mission of the lab. The postdocs will develop research programs in the field of computational genomics, with an emphasis of single cell genomics and its application to problems in immunology. Work will consist of developing analysis tools, including: (1) robust modeling of metabolic flux in single cells, (2) joint analysis of transcriptomes and CRISPR/Cas9- based cell lineages, in an effort to find transcriptional events that preceded fate choices and expansion of sub-clones, (3) developing methods for spatial transcriptomics. In addition, the postdocs will implement those methods for analyzing data from immune cells. This includes a recently funded project in the lab (by the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation), where our consortium seeks to collect tissue samples from a large cohort of organ donors, in an effort to create a comprehensive map of the human immune system and its modulation with age.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s main duties and responsibilities will consist of:

• Prepare results of research for presentations and for publication in peer-reviewed journals

Basic Qualifications (at the time of application):
