Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering

Main Research Direction

1. polymer or organic chemical synthesis; 2. Polymer modification, processing and formulation research

Requirements

1. Doctors in well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad with research experience in polymer chemistry, polymer processing, applied chemistry and organic chemistry, and have obtained doctoral degree;

2. Independent researcher with good research results during his or her doctoral study;

3. Excellent English reader and writer with ambition, passion and wisdom in science;

4. Good team member with strong communication and expression skills;

5. Great interest and enthusiasm in basic scientific research, applied research or industrialization;

6. Physically and mentally healthy, competent for academic and scientific research competition, available in the near future.

Responsibilities

1. Complete the basic tasks upon the performance appraisal according to relevant regulations of postdoctoral management of SJTU; outstanding post-doctors can stay in SJTU as a staff member or be introduced to SJTU’s cooperative companies once their postdoctoral period is due.

2. Assist in applying for scientific research projects, carrying out scientific research projects, instructing undergraduates and postgraduates, and participating in laboratory management and other related work.

Compensations

1. Standard salaries according to the regulations of postdoctoral management of SJTU along with social insurance, public accumulation fund and other welfare benefits stipulated by Shanghai and SJTU;

2. Postdoctoral housing subsidy stipulated by SJTU or postdoctoral apartment;

3. Permanent residence in accordance with the management policy of postdoctoral students in Shanghai;

4. Encourage and support postdoctoral researchers to apply for "Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program", "Postdoctoral Science Foundation", and other national and local science and technology projects and postdoctoral funding projects; Encourage and support postdoctoral researchers to participate in academic and industrial exchanges at home and abroad.

5. An annual salary of 300,000-350,000 RMB before tax (including performance, project award and industrial commission, negotiable for detailed figure), along with extra allowance or equity incentive to outstanding postdoctoral researchers.
