About This Opportunity

The research fellow will work in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems on the research theme “Quantum Engines and Machines.”  They will particularly focus on the topics of nonequilibrium quantum dynamics and thermodynamics of ultracold quantum gases and other quantum systems.  It is desirable that the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the University of Queensland experimental team developing new proposals and interpreting experimental observations.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

You will have completed a PhD in theoretical quantum physics, be interested in the physics of ultracold quantum gases and/or quantum thermodynamics, and be eager to collaborate with experimentalists.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time position at Academic level A or B for up to 3 years. 

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,878.42 - $111,607.58 plus super of up to 17%.
