About the Opportunity 

The School of Chemistry that offers a vibrant and world-class research environment is one of the main centres for chemical research and education in the country and has access to a comprehensive range of modern research and teaching facilities. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate you will produce collaborated and sole research, preparation of research findings and present seminars to postgraduate students. You will conduct research activities under limited supervision and be expected to design new experimental apparata for humid air condensation.

  • a PhD in industrial engineering, in the stream of thermo-mechanical energy engineering
  • d emonstrated research ability in materials chemistry
  • demonstrated experience in the study of dropwise condensation
  • demonstrated advanced ability to take up new techniques and skills in surface modification and characterisation
  • demonstrated ability in handling precise measurements of heat flux and heat transfer in two phase thermal exchange phenomena
  • problem solving and demonstrated creativity in research activities
  • experience in research record keeping, preparation of research papers and presentation of seminars.
