Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Local Energy Systems Data

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the OERC Group at the Department of Engineering in Central Oxford. The post is funded by Innovate UK and is fixed-term until end March 2022 but may be extended subject to funds.

The successful candidate will join a world-class multi-institution team and be part of a project delivering transformative integrated smart local energy systems to maximise prosperity from local energy systems and demonstrate new value creation opportunities. You will be responsible for building and then utilising a data repository to store mapping, GIS and time series data from resources within the project along with specific and related metadata and information from other related sources.

You should hold (or be near to completion of) a PhD/DPhil, in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other related area. You should have experience of designing/developing systems to use data storage and management technologies, e.g. MongoDB and have excellent communication skills
