The Fagerholm group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to study the molecular mechanisms regulating immune cell signaling and programming in vivo, with a focus on dendritic cells, the main antigen-presenting cells.
The work is relevant for understanding immunodeficiency, inflammatory disorders, and cancer, using techniques including:
Mouse models and colony management
In vivo immune cell functional assays
Flow cytometry
Cell biology and metabolic assays
Imaging techniques
Omics techniques, such as RNA-seq
This position is embedded in a highly interdisciplinary research environment and encourages collaboration across fields.
Required Qualifications:
PhD in immunology or closely related field (or near completion)
Strong academic record and deep understanding of immunology
Practical experience in immune cell biology, cell culture, omics (RNA-seq), flow cytometry, and mouse colony management
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluent in English
Desirable Skills:

Fully-funded 3-year postdoctoral position at University of Helsinki (Viikki campus)
Starting salary: €3625–€4060/month depending on experience
