CLEAR-BOT (CoLlaborative intElligence for human-Aligned RoBOTs) is a project that aims to align robot learning with human intentions. Current AI systems often miss the nuances of human intentions, leading to unintended consequences. We aim to develop robots that learn true human intentions by combining direct human feedback with insights from foundation models. This approach will reduce reliance on continuous human input while ensuring robots act safely and ethically in complex human environments.
The project focuses on (1) integrating human feedback with information from foundation models, and (2) creating a shared understanding between robots and humans, enabling robots to detect misalignment and proactively seek clarification for expanding and/or correcting their representation.
