Postdoctoral Fellow in Materials Engineering

Position Overview

The Lewis Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Stem cell biology

  • Organoid differentiation

  • Bioprinting

  • Tissue engineering

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team supported by NIH, DoD, and Wellcome Leap awards. Project goals include:

  • Developing vascularized cerebral, cardiac, and renal organoids

  • Fabricating functional organ-specific tissues at scale


Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Materials Science, Bioengineering, or Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine by the start of the appointment

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in two or more of these areas: stem cell biology, organoid differentiation, bioprinting, tissue engineering

  • Strong track record of prior research accomplishments, demonstrated by high-impact publications and/or patents

Salary

  • $67,600 – $91,826

  • Pay depends on rank, years of experience, training, field of scholarship, and prior accomplishments
