Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrical & Computer Engineering (Integrated Circuit Design)

Primary Purpose: To gain additional research experience and to develop and expand skills and knowledge to become an independent investigator.


Nature of Work: Reporting to Dr. Li Chen, to engage in research projects that provide the challenge necessary for intellectual growth. Participate in research projects of Dr. Chen. Publish original research results in appropriate journals, attend scientific conferences and present results.


Typical Duties/Accountabilities: The candidate will lead several graduate and undergraduate students to develop and tapeout test chips with advanced CMOS technologies, such as 28 nm/65 nm. The candidate is expected to publish papers in microelectronics, write research grant proposals, part-time teaching.


Qualifications

Education: A doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering.

Experience: A strong background in integrated circuit (IC) design, especially in digital IC design. The candidate should be very familiar with digital design IC design flow and related CAD tools, such as Cadence, Synopsis, MG VHDL. Previous IC design and tapeout experience is preferred.
