Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and contribute to our ongoing research in computer architecture and machine learning systems. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing novel architectures and algorithms to accelerate workloads across a broad range of emerging application domains such as XR, robotics, autonomous vehicles and so forth. You will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art hardware/software co-design projects, exploring innovative solutions that bridge the gap between theory and practice.


Responsibilities

    • Conduct cutting-edge research in the areas of computer architecture and machine learning systems.
    • Design and optimize hardware and software components for efficient execution of machine learning workloads.
    • Develop novel algorithms and techniques to improve the performance, energy efficiency, and scalability of machine learning systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into practical solutions.
    • Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer architecture and machine learning systems.
    • Lead projects and mentor undergraduate and graduate students

 

 
Basic Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on computer architecture, machine learning, or systems, by the start date.
 
Additional Qualifications
Looking for candidates with expertise in at least one (or more) of the following areas:
    • Strong background in computer architecture, including familiarity with modern processor architectures, memory hierarchies, and interconnects.
    • Expertise in machine learning algorithms, frameworks, and systems.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and experience with parallel programming (CUDA, OpenCL, etc.).
    • Solid understanding of hardware/software co-design principles.
    • Track record of high-quality research publications in relevant conferences or journals.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.

 


Additional qualifications may include:
  • Experience with FPGA or ASIC design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of emerging memory technologies (e.g., non-volatile memory, near-memory computing).
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with performance modeling and evaluation of computer systems.
  • Strong programming skills in low-level languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL).
