Position Description

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University seeks a postdoctoral associate. The position can be remote, provided the home location is within the United States.

We seek a candidate with strong optimization skills. Expertise with game theory is a plus but not required. Ideally, this person will have a Ph.D. in operations research, computer science, applied math, or a related field.

The research focus will be on the development of novel methods to solve game theoretic models in natural hazard loss insurance modeling and in the optimization of municipal land use decision-making for risk management.

Pay Range

$61,008.00 - $87,000.00

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
