The Tasks Include:

Future generations of industrial and work machines will more fully support the driver with intelligent features in their daily work tasks. For this purpose, certain work tasks should be able to be carried out completely autonomously. One example is the automated achievement of a target pose in a confined space, which typically requires maneuvering maneuvers and wheel slippage in multi-axle vehicles is not negligible. Other boundary conditions are the available free space and the kinematic restrictions of the train. In a research project, a method is to be developed which calculates a suitable path, taking into account all boundary conditions, To convert vehicles with trailers from given start pose in any Endpose and corrects possible inaccuracies correcting. The method should be implemented and tested in a real experiment.

Necessary Qualification:

Application requirements are a master's degree from a university / technical university specializing in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field. Very good knowledge in the field of control engineering, system theory and numerical optimization as well as programming knowledge in MATLAB / Simulink and C / C ++ are required for a successful handling of the task. Previous knowledge in the areas of path / trajectory planning or model predictive control, for example through an internship or thesis, is an advantage.
