Part of the ENERPOL MSCA Doctoral Network under the EU Horizon Europe program.
Focus: Role of households (prosumers) in the green energy transition.
Research aims to:
Analyze prosumer behavior and electrification effects on power market competitiveness.
Use Nash-Cournot models with flexible demand and variable renewable energy (VRE).
Explore market design strategies to reduce market power, inequality, and risks.
Offers interdisciplinary collaboration, international networking, and policy-relevant insights.
Provides academic support: funding for books, conferences, mobility, and, if applicable, family or special-needs allowances.
MSCA Doctoral Network criteria:
Mobility rule: Must not have resided in Sweden >12 months in the past 36 months.
Doctoral candidate requirement: Must not hold a PhD at the start of employment.
General entry requirements:
Second-cycle degree or equivalent (≥240 higher education credits, with ≥60 at second-cycle).
English proficiency (CEFR Level B2 or equivalent).
Specific entry requirements:
Completed ≥60 higher education credits in Computer and Systems Sciences at the second-cycle level.
Completed a degree project (thesis) of ≥15 credits.
Independence in scientific work and problem-solving.
Rigor and methodological maturity.
Communication and collaboration skills.
Subject-specific knowledge relevant to energy markets and systems.
Merit factors:
Experience in energy systems modeling or environmental policy.
Skills in applied mathematics, game theory, operations research, and optimization.
Domain knowledge of power sector and energy policy.
Evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Excellent English; Swedish not required.
