The Cornell University Department of Computer Science (CS) in the Cornell Bowers College of Computing and Information Science (Bowers) invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track faculty positions at its Ithaca campus.
Cornell CS is ranked among the top computer science departments in the country (http://www.cs.cornell.edu/). Ithaca, NY, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, offers a vibrant cultural life, a wide range of sports and outdoor activities, and the benefits of both city and country living.
We welcome applications from all areas of computer science and closely related disciplines, with particular emphasis on candidates with expertise in:
Systems
Artificial Intelligence – especially Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and AI for Science
Applied Programming Languages and Formal Methods
Faculty hired will be members of the Department of Computer Science, spanning the Ithaca and New York City campuses, but their teaching and research will be based in Ithaca.

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science or a related area
Demonstrated ability to conduct outstanding research
Expected to pursue an active research program
Expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses
Expected to supervise graduate students
