Job Description:

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position as Lecturer/Professor of Practice in Manufacturing to begin Fall 2019.

The successful candidate is expected to teach basic and advanced manufacturing related courses; lead the graduate program in manufacturing; serve as the faculty advisor for students in manufacturing and create a strong community for these students to thrive in; engage the faculty in curriculum development; contribute to research proposals to strengthen educational components and industry collaboration; reach out to industry to coordinate experiential activities and internships; and promote diversity and inclusiveness.


Requirements:

Candidates must have a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field with experience in industry, government, or teaching in a field relevant to manufacturing. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. degree and/or at least five years of experience in industry and/or familiarity with managing on-campus and online engineering programs.
