Duties and responsibilities
 
The aim of the new position is to expand the department's teaching and research in urban mobility modelling and electrification. We seek an ambitious candidate with a strong transport modelling, analytics, and computer science background. We envision to strengthen our team in one of the following fields:
  • modelling in public transport;
  • Big Data in transport modelling;
  • disruption modelling and safety;
  • mobility and energy;
  • Autonomous Driving;
  • Active Mobility.
The duties of the lecturer position include the following:
  • lecturing and conducting seminars in the field of Smart Urban Mobility on all levels of higher education;
  • supervising research work of students;
  • participating in the research activities of the Institute of Computer Science;
  • participation in the work of the university’s decision-making bodies is recommended;
  • popularisation of the specialisation.
Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
 
Required experience
  • Candidates are expected to have teaching experience in higher education establishments on the Bachelor and/or Masters levels.
  • Research experience and publications in the field of Smart Urban Mobility are essential.
  • A track record of publications in highly reputable venues in the field of Smart Urban Mobility is desirable.
  • Experience in supervising students and conducting e-learning is also highly desirable.
Required language skills
Excellent command of English required. Estonian is an advantage.

Salary
From 2500 to 3000 euros (gross) per month depending on work experience and qualifications. The total annual payroll is 40000 - 50000 euros, which includes employer taxes.

The starting date of the position is negotiable.

The position is funded by the European Social Fund.
