Lecturer in Electrical Engineering

Applications are invited from suitable candidate for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Telecommunications and Electronics; (ii) take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and graduate students’ research projects; (iii) serve on committees within the University and external professional organisations; (iv) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Telecommunications Engineering or related field; (ii) a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field; (iii) Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized University; (iv) show evidence of engagement in research.  Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.  

N.B. Applicants with Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering with significant research output and industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
