This position in the field of data-driven system models/digital twins for medicine and life sciences is to be filled in cooperation with GEORG AUGUST UNIVERSITY OF GÖTTINGEN and the Lower Saxony Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Causal Methods in Medicine (CAIMed). We are looking for a committed and outstanding junior research group leader for the newly established research group “Data-driven Digital Twins.”

Research Focus
The research group will focus on modern AI methods for generating digital twins from biological and medical data. The goal is to contribute to knowledge generation in the life sciences through innovative approaches. Possible (but not exclusive) research areas may include:
Thematic alignment with the CAIMed center (https://caimed.de) as well as the Göttingen research landscape (CIDAS, EKFZ for optogenetic therapies, University Medical Center Göttingen) is desired.

The Lower Saxony Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Causal Methods in Medicine (CAIMed) is a newly founded interdisciplinary research center with the goal of achieving breakthroughs in medical research and clinical practice through innovative AI methods and causal inference.
