The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the School of Arts and Sciences–Newark (SASN) at Rutgers University–Newark seeks qualified part-time instructors (Lecturer/Coadjutant) to teach computer science courses during the Spring 2026 semester.
Instructors will be responsible for the full scope of teaching duties, including:
Preparing and delivering course material
Creating and posting a course syllabus
Teaching during assigned meeting times
Holding office hours and providing student support outside of class
Responding to student inquiries by email
Designing, conducting, and grading assessments (assignments, exams, etc.) in a timely manner
Submitting final grades
Teaching in various modalities depending on departmental needs, including:
Daytime or evening classes
Weekend courses
Off-campus instruction
Online, remote, hybrid, or any combination
A minimum of $2,777 per credit.

Experience teaching computer science or a related discipline preferred
