General Information
Université Laval is a vibrant community in the heart of Quebec City, a comprehensive university with a population of more than 45000 students, recognized for its leadership and its culture of excellence both in teaching and research.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Université Laval, aims to fill a tenure-track professor position in the field of industrial engineering – industry 4.0. The Department of Mechanical Engineering includes 24 professors supervising over 600 undergraduate students and over a hundred graduate students. The Department offers various programs of study, including an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering, an undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering as well as several graduate programs. The Department of Mechanical Engineering hosts a Canada Research Chair in Operations Research in Natural Resources, as well as FORAC Research Consortium, working in the field of the integrated management of the value chain, the collaborative business planning, the management mechanisms for demand and revenues in the forest products industry. Some of our faculty members are also active members of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT).

The candidate must have research expertise in Industrial Engineering, as well as relevant experience in teaching. The qualified candidates fitting the description of the position will be selected according to the following criteria:
Hiring and salary
Academic rank will be assessed according to experience and salary will be determined according to the collective agreement in place at the time of hire.
