We are looking for a passionate person to join our team as an Embedded Engineer and speed up the development of the Sevensense core technology. In this key position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software and firmware that brings our hardware products to life, using state-of-the-art technologies and interfaces. Additionally, you will support the electronic design of our next-generation products. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who demonstrates teamwork, proactivity, ownership, and has a strong desire for solving exciting and challenging problems.

Job description

  • Developing and maintaining the drivers and firmware that drive the Sevensense multi-camera systems.
  • Producing modern, high-quality Python, C and C++ code and participating in code reviews and software design discussions.
  • Designing schematics and PCBs incorporating specialized hardware devices such as cameras, IMUs, and other sensors.
  • Creating release documentation, including release notes and upgrade procedures.
  • Supporting the testing and validation of our products (EMC, vibration, dust, etc.)
  • Collaborating with a cross-functional engineering team for integrating your solutions into products.

Your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Python, C and/or C++.
  • Previous experience with using Git and Linux professionally. Experience developing Linux device drivers and/or working on the kernel is a plus.
  • Experience with designing electronics (Schematics & PCB).
  • Solid understanding of standard protocols (eg. I2C and SPI). Experience with Ethernet, PCIe and MIPI is a plus.
  • Prior experience with camera chips and IMUs is a plus.
  • The can-do mindset with the ability to take ownership of areas within their interest.
  • Team player who is excited about working in a dynamic startup environment.
