Are you an influential academic with the ability to provide academic leadership to carry out high quality research and teaching in Engineering Project Management? Based in the the Project Management Group (PMG) is research and consultancy active. It delivers two well established MSc (Eng) degrees in Engineering Project Management and in International Construction Management and Engineering respectively, attracting about 100 postgraduate students each year, reflecting the engineering and construction background of the School. The School aims to build on its existing strengths and expand the PMG in terms of research activity, the educational portfolio, the students and academics. At undergraduate level, degrees of MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering with Project Management are also supported by the PMG.

As an Associate Professor in Engineering Project Management, you will be an outstanding individual, who will join us in providing academic leadership for the PMG for high quality research and education. You will have a PhD or other doctorate in civil engineering, project management or a relevant discipline and possess a related professional qualification or equivalent practical experience, and be able to demonstrate an internationally leading research profile in Engineering Project Management.

In addition to developing an active research portfolio you will make a significant contribution to teaching in Engineering Project Management on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. A strong feature of teaching at Leeds is the extensive use of design project work and you would be expected to bring enthusiasm and preferably practical skills to this area of the curriculum. The School has an international reputation for interdisciplinary scholarship applied to global problems, and as such the novelty, impact and potential for cross-sector collaboration in your work is more important to us than the traditional discipline in which you may have developed your portfolio.
