Associate or Assistant Professor in Computer Science with focus on "Computational Modelling and Simulation"

The University of St.Gallen is currently in the process of creating a new School of Computer Science
with an innovative emphasis on entrepreneurship. To support and further continue these efforts, we are
seeking candidates for an Associate or Assistant Professorship in the field of Computational Modelling
and Simulation.

Successful candidates will have published their research in leading conferences and journals and are
excellent teachers, preferably also in an interdisciplinary context. The appointed professor will be part of
the newly founded School of Computer Science.
The university is searching for candidates with a strong research background in one or more of the
following topics:

• Modelling and simulation of complex systems (e.g. physical, cyber-physical, financial, social)
• Mathematical foundations of modelling

We are looking for a team-oriented and committed personality whose research activities offer links to
the established Computer Science chairs at the University of St.Gallen. Further responsibilities include
teaching on the undergraduate and graduate levels within and outside of the degree programs of the
School of Computer Science. For this position, we seek candidates per February 1st 2021 or by mutual
agreement.
