Job Summary

The School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University invites applications at the assistant/associate professor level. Purdue University seeks to attract exceptional candidates with interests and expertise in data science applied to health, evidence generation and causal inference, population health modeling, health policy, behavioral modeling and patient engagement, and healthcare operations. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering, operations research, biomedical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, statistics, or a related discipline and demonstrate excellent potential to build an independent research program at the forefront of their field, as well as potential to educate and mentor students.  New faculty are sought to build a strong research program in the School of Industrial Engineering working in collaboration with Purdue’s Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering.  The goal is preeminence in healthcare engineering research combined with extraordinary impact on healthcare delivery and community engagement for improving outcomes that are proactive, patient-centered, and wellness-focused. The successful candidate will conduct original research, advise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, and perform service both at the School and University levels.

The School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University ranks #3 at the undergraduate program and #6 at the graduate program in USNWR.  It consists of 32 tenure track faculty and has over 1000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled.
