Position Overview

UAEU’s CIT seeks an outstanding faculty member specializing in Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, and Quantum Hardware, with expertise in AI and Machine Learning integration. The successful candidate will establish a competitive research program, teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, secure funding, and contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations. The role emphasizes intelligent hardware design, hybrid classical–quantum architectures, and AI-driven quantum systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a research program in quantum computing, communication, and hardware.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses with innovative methods.

• Secure national and international research funding.

• Publish in high-impact journals and conferences.

• Mentor students and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.

• Contribute to the growth and strategic goals of CIT and UAEU.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field.

• Proven research record in one or more areas: quantum computing, quantum communication, AI for quantum systems, or hybrid AI–quantum algorithms.

• Demonstrated or potential success in securing research funding.

• Effective teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Industrial or practical experience in quantum technologies or intelligent hardware is a strong asset.
