Description

The Department of NanoEngineering (http://ne.ucsd.edu), which uses the unique and enabling aspects of a nanoscale material to create a device to be utilized by mankind in the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD, invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Project Scientist position.

Candidates must have earned their Ph.D. degree in materials science, bioengineering or a related area. Successful candidates should have experience in research and development in 3D bioprinting of coral tissues, especially in:

1) biomaterials synthesis and characterization;
2) 3D bioprinting;
3) algae and coral cells culture; and
4) funding proposal writing, and research program review.
