The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the School of Engineering at Rutgers University invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure-track (NTT) engineering faculty position.
The position is primarily at the Assistant Professor level, though exceptional candidates may be considered for Associate or Full Professor.
Initial appointment is two years, renewable subject to enrollment needs, funding availability, and performance.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in:
Elementary-level circuits and synthesis
Electronic devices
Digital system design
The ECE Department emphasizes teaching excellence and innovative engineering education. Candidates should be capable of effectively teaching large-enrollment courses and coordinating multiple Teaching Assistants. Opportunities exist to supervise undergraduate research, Honors College students, capstone projects, and master’s theses, many leading to peer-reviewed publications. Engagement in professional development, including conferences and educational workshops, is encouraged.
