Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the School of Engineering at Rutgers University invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure-track (NTT) engineering faculty position.

  • The position is primarily at the Assistant Professor level, though exceptional candidates may be considered for Associate or Full Professor.

  • Initial appointment is two years, renewable subject to enrollment needs, funding availability, and performance.

  • Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in:

    • Elementary-level circuits and synthesis

    • Electronic devices

    • Digital system design

The ECE Department emphasizes teaching excellence and innovative engineering education. Candidates should be capable of effectively teaching large-enrollment courses and coordinating multiple Teaching Assistants. Opportunities exist to supervise undergraduate research, Honors College students, capstone projects, and master’s theses, many leading to peer-reviewed publications. Engagement in professional development, including conferences and educational workshops, is encouraged.
